Wonderland Egg Event Is A Smash

Thousands Of Eggs, Face Painting, Characters

Valley Park was filled with the sounds of laughter, fun and games as the inaugural Easter Wonderland event kicked off on Saturday, April 8th, 2017.

“We had 3,000 children here,” says Putnam County Parks and Recreation Executive Director Jarrod Dean. “The attendance is awesome!”

Awesome is one word to describe 8,000 eggs, Easter characters, balloons, face painting and vendor booths.

The strong turnout is despite an earlier announcement that Valley Park will be closed for the summer of 2017 due to construction work for the $15 million enhancement project.
