Calls Continue To Show A Significant Increase

Winfield Police Officers were busy,alt in September of 2014, according to this news release by Chief of Police John J. Perrine.

COMPUTER AIDED DISPATCH (CAD) SYSTEM

The Putnam County 911 CAD system recorded for the period of September 1 through September 30, 2014, that the Winfield Police Department was dispatched to 271 police call for the month. This is a 116% increase over the same period for September 2013, which recorded 233 calls. The monthly mean trend line indicates a 2.9% decrease in the volume of CAD call activity from August to September 2014.  The total number of CAD calls for the year is 2,439, which is an increase of 124% over the previous year which recorded 1,966 police calls.  The average number of police calls per month has averaged 271 calls.
