Eggleton Takes Nitro PD Chief Oath

Walker Moves To Kanawha Sheriff

A change at the top of the Nitro Police Department. Robert L. “Bobby” Eggleton, Jr., is the new chief, after taking his oath of office during the Thursday, July 6th, city council meeting.

PutnamCountyNews.com broke the news of Eggleton’s hiring last week.

Eggleton comes to Nitro after two years serving as the Winfield Chief of Police.

Walker retired after two years, in Nitro, citing health problems. However, he is taking a job with the Kanawha County Sheriff’s Department.
