Poca Students Serve Others

Breast Cancer Awareness, Food Bank Stocked

It was a busy week full of community awareness and support at Poca's middle and high schools.

We're talking lessons about real life.

At Poca High School, the  Youth Alive Club passed out individual inspirational candy bags. Students and staff wore pink to support breast cancer awareness. To save lives, the National Honor Society sponsored a blood drive to help those in need.

Down the road, Poca Middle School students collected more than 10,200 cans for the Poca Food Pantry for Spirit Week as a competition for Homecoming King & Queen.

Amazing job by these kids for a very worthy cause. Helping others: A perfect way to spend to the school week!
