The Putnam County Sheriff’s altDepartment is reporting three weekend arrests, more Larcenies, two Disturbances and seven Domestic Calls in Progress.

It was a busy weekend of crime for the heroic men and women that protect and serve us.

Weekend Activity:

  • ARREST: Sergeant R.K. Lyon arrested Tiffany D. Linville, from 139 Clayton Avenue, Hurricane, for Possession of a Controlled Substance (Heroin).

  • ARREST: Deputy M.H. Lovejoy arrested Christopher Yancey Kersey, from RR 3, Box 107, Hurricane, for Possession of Marijuana with the Intent to Deliver.

  • ARREST: Deputy T.A. Edwards arrested Nathan Skidmore, from Poca, for Driving on a Revoked Operators-DUI related.Larceny, 3800 Block Charleston Road, Poca. No suspect listed at time of report, pending investigation.
  • Suspicious Vehicle, 4021 Sycamore Road, Hurricane. Suspect departed prior to Law Enforcement arrival.
  • Disturbance, 160 Block Ferguson Lane, Fraziers Bottom. Suspect listed at time of report, pending investigation.
  • Hit & Run, 500 Block Buff Creek, Hurricane. No suspect listed at time of report, pending investigation.
  • Larceny, 140 Block Armour Road, Rock Branch. No suspect listed at time of report, pending investigation.
  • Shoplifting, 1400 Block Charleston Road, Rock Branch. Suspect listed at time of report, pending investigation.
  • B & E (Auto), 150 Block Westminster Drive, Culloden. No suspect listed at time of report, pending investigation.
  • Harassing Phone Calls, 50 Block Country Roads Mobile Home Park, Poca. Suspect listed at time of report, pending investigation.
  • Disturbance, 400 Block State Route 34, Teays Valley. Suspect listed at time of report, pending investigation.
  • Twelve alarm calls responded.

  • Six Domestic Violence Petitions served.
  • One Mental Hygiene Petition served.
  • Six motor vehicle crashes: 8000 Block Hamlin Road-Hurricane, 1500 Block State Route 34, State Route 34 with injuries, 4000 Block State Route 34, I-64 East Bound 38 MM with injury, Harmons Branch Road.
