Jersey Mike’s Subs Opens

Happy Customers Pack New Business

The first Jersey Mike’s Subs, in Putnam County, is open and happy customers are packing the place.

“Busy, busy, busy!” is the reaction of Franchise Owner “Mike” Baldwin who was behind the counter quickly making subs on Opening Day, Wednesday, November 1st, 2017.

Baldwin isn’t kidding. Dozens of customers were standing in line waiting to eat.

Jersey Mike’s is located between Mimi’s and Anytime Fitness. The new restaurant replaces The Wine Valley and is employing 20 people, according to Baldwin. “Our special promo cards will get anyone a free sandwich with a $2 donation to the ‘Angel Tree’ program that we are working with the Putnam County Sheriff’s Department for children.” That special runs through November 5th.

Of course, you can donate more than $2 to make sure children have a fun Christmas!

Jersey Mike’s was founded, more than six decades ago, in Point Pleasant Beach, New Jersey. Peter Cancro started working at the store, at the age of 14. When it went up for sale, in 1975, he bought it, and, following the success of McDonald’s businessman Ray Kroc, began franchising Jersey Mike’s, in 1987.

You can telephone the Teays Valley Jersey Mike’s Subs at 304-757-6453 and find them on Facebook.
